Dave Goulson renowned conservationist and specialist in bee ecology and other insects; author of numerous papers and several iconic books including Sting in the Tale and The Garden Jungle, professor of biology, as well as founder of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust talks about ‘Saving Our Insects’ 14.00-15.30

Martin Williams, from Belmont Estate and Watercress Farm in Wraxall, talk ‘Rewild, Regenerate, Reconnect’ the story of Belmont’s rewilding and regenerative farming projects. 16.00-17.30

The Green Read, a shared reading event across the generations ages 8 to 108 more or less. We will read selected poems and other short readings aloud to each other and with our natural world, drawing on nature themes, and see what the words evoke, our connections with each other and our natural world. Hanging by a thread continues

An evening of poetry and film inspired by the work of Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris whose book The Lost Words is the basis of this film. The closing event of the festival will be hosted by former Bristol City Poet, Kat Lyons, who will host and perform their poetry alongside local students. Lost For Words is an odyssey across the UK. It celebrates our relationship with nature through diverse voices while actively reshaping our anthropocentric view with poetic and scientific approach.
