Sustainable Seasons

Our activities throughout the year use the different seasons to help the community in Clevedon live more sustainably and in harmony with nature. These are some ideas that  guide what we do.

Winter

Winter may seem like a challenging season to live sustainably, but there are still many ways to reduce your carbon footprint and support nature:

• Reduce Heating: Lower your thermostat by a few degrees and wear warmer clothing to save energy. Consider using a programmable thermostat to optimize heating efficiency.

• Eco-friendly Christmas: Decorate with energy-efficient LED lights and choose a real Christmas tree that can be recycled or replanted, rather than an artificial one.

• Support Wildlife: Provide food and shelter for local wildlife by setting up bird feeders and leaving areas of your garden undisturbed.

• Eco-friendly transport: If possible, work from home to reduce commuting emissions. When travel is necessary, carpool or use public transport.

By making small, mindful changes throughout the year, we can collectively make a significant impact on our environment. Each season presents unique opportunities to embrace sustainable living, support nature, and reduce our carbon footprints. Let's pledge to make every season a step towards a greener, healthier planet.
